*Detailed Level Up/Progression System - While similar to Stardew Valley on the surface, Sun Haven's leveling system is way more fleshed out. There's also plenty of NPCs for each throughout the world. Each race has a decent amount of customization. You can be a Human, Demon, Elf, Angel, Elemental, or Amari (which have animal-like features). *Multiple Playable Races - You have lots of options on what to play. I especially like the personality and flair of Withergate it toes the line between Halloween, carnivals, and evil demon strongholds in a convincing way while looking fantastic the whole time. *Gorgeous Environments - This is subjective, but the environmental design/art is phenomenal. *Dedicated Fantasy Genre - It's more like Rune Factory than Harvest Moon.
You can fast travel between the three once you've unlocked them. Each location has its own flavor, new NPCs, different crops, and unique systems. However, it also has Nel'vari, a foresty Elf-centric town, and Withergate, a Halloween/carnival Demon-centric town. *Three Farms/Towns - Sun Haven features the titular Sun Haven, which is a Human-centric town most closely reminiscent of Stardew-like games. ** Specific Sun Haven Features/Things I Like ** I'll go into the unique aspects rather than talking about those. Crops, animal raising, mining, combat, crafting, building/customization, NPC relationships/romance. If you've played Stardew, it's got lots of similarities. This has most of the standard farm sim genre stuff. If you're in the market for a new, Stardew Valley-like farming sim with its own takes on the formula, Sun Haven is a great place to start, even in its current Early Access state. While it's not as polished (YET) as other titles in the genre, it has several features and elements that set it apart. Despite this, it's a reasonably fleshed out and fun experience. Sun Haven is an Early Access game, so still under active development.
